We would like to share the below piece of news of our newly approved CC from Jordan Al Badiya for intercultural dialogue CC. Al Badiya for intercultural dialogue participated in the Second IAVE Regional Volunteer Conference for the Arab Nations hosted by the Oman Association for Consumer Protection (OACP) from 24 – 26 November 2013 in Muscat, Oman. The conference brought together about 200 participants out of which 100 from Oman and 100 from other Arab countries. The participants were selected base on several criteria such as expertise in volunteering, willingness to develop their volunteering experience, willingness to develop volunteer initiatives in their own countries. The conference provided orientation to the scope of volunteerism, in general and created a forum for people to share ideas, experiences, and expertise that can help promote volunteering in the region. Also, it provided basic training on volunteerism and field volunteering activities. Moreover, the gathering encouraged the collaboration within and between countries of the region.
