Internship & Long-term Volunteering

Long term internships & volunteering

Interns and volunteers are generally involved in many aspects of URI MENA’s work, including:

Volunteering can give you the opportunity to try something new, gain experience, develop skills, improve your career prospects, build confidence and meet new people while having a positive impact on individuals, communities, and the environment. URI MENA’s office in Amman and URI CCs (affiliate groups) across the Middle East & North Africa need volunteers to help organize events and activities. The available periods of volunteering usually range from one day to three months.

How and where you could engage

A main task is the communication with our member groups. You will interact with over 90 groups (we call them CC) across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, either virtually or in face-to-face meetings. We are always eager to remain constructive and in-depth communications with our members. Depending on your background, you will provide different kinds of support to help CCs achieve their mission and aspirations. You foster CCs’ sense of belonging and engagement in URI and share and inform them about opportunities. Encourage CCs to engage in activities under the URI umbrella and raise profiles and visibility of URI and different CCs. Also, you are supporting the team at the office in documenting and reporting CC news, stories and challenges. We are grateful, if data for different CCs is updated regularly. Apart from tha, you will participate in public and networking events under the name of URI MENA to raise URI’s profile & visibility and to establish partnership with like-minded organizations.
