The study visit aimed to increase awareness of how to support individuals who have experienced trauma and to provide educational strategies for creating safe and supportive learning environments. It brought together 30 youth workers from the following partner organizations:
SOLIS TUVAK – Latvia
Asociatia Beyond – Romania
Dienos centras “Šviesa” – Lithuania
ADEFIS JUVENTUD INTERNACIONAL – Spain
United Religions Initiative – Jordan
Tamkeen Organization for Sustainable Development – Egypt
WTZ Czersk – Poland

ISCR – Georgia (Host Organization)
During the project, participants explored a range of essential topics, including:
Recognizing signs of trauma
Creating stress-free learning environments
Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and workshops, participants from diverse backgrounds shared knowledge and insights. Practical examples demonstrated how to apply trauma-informed principles to non-formal education, empowering participants to implement these strategies in their own contexts.
A special evening session highlighted cultural diversity, with each team presenting traditional dishes and sharing stories and traditions related to food. This event fostered a sense of camaraderie and cooperation among participants.
This study visit was a valuable experience, enriching our understanding of trauma-informed education and the role of culture in the educational process.
This study visit is co-funded by the European Union and organized by WTZ Czersk, hosted by ISCR Georgia.
